Know your R: on a rally stage, it recovers the car to the road and can add a time penalty. On a circuit, it returns you to the approach to the start line to restart the lap. Escape always pauses the game.
02 / Try your inputs
Turn on the test, then press a key. It will show the action and highlight the matching control. Press Escape or Stop test when you’re finished.
Start the test, then press a driving key.
This test reads inputs only while enabled. It does not change your game settings. Esc stops the test. Arrow keys work too.
03 / Bring a controller
Connect your controller before launching, then press a button in the game. Labels below follow the game’s Xbox-style reference; other controllers may use different symbols.

04 / A smaller screen, the same road
The original game includes touch input. Open it on your device and follow its on-screen instructions. Landscape orientation gives the road more room; keep your fingers away from the next corner. Performance varies by device.
05 / Make it feel right
- Open the original game’s Settings → Controls.
- Select a binding and press your preferred key.
- Escape cancels a change; Backspace clears a binding.
- Use the game’s reset option to restore the defaults.
This field guide never overwrites your game settings.
